Educational Sessions featured are: Computers and You, Membership, Mind Mapping, Judging, Creative Speech Topics, Interviewing Skills, Clubs Needs Assessment and "One Hour Club" Challenges.

Registration begins at 8:15 A.M. with Division/Area Governor and Club Officer Training at 9:00 A.M. This is followed by a Speaker at 10:15 A.M. Educational Sessions fill the rest of the day.

Our Sargent-at-Arms, Doug Beaudin, calls our meetings to order. Doug is the kind of guy you want to take shopping, maybe in New Orleans!


District 64 Membership Contest

District 64 is having a membership contest that spans October 1st to December 31st. Seven Oaks Toastmasters will be entered into the contest twice for each returning Toastmaster member and once for each new member. Each winning club gets their choice of a wine basket or a coffee/tea basket or a $25 bookstore gift certificate.


Member Profile: Barbara Hilderman

Barbara joined Toastmasters in September 1994 and achieved her CTM in 1996. She is a founding member of Lifelong Toastmasters who merged with Trendsetters in September of 1998. Barbara achieved her ATM Bronze in April 1998. She is a semi-retired Certified Human Resources professional and in 1996 completed the University of Manitoba Certificate Program in Adult and Continuing Employment. Barbara has a small business embroidering hats and T-shirts for sale at West Hawk Lake. Hobbies include gardening, swimming, cycling, walking and enjoying life with her partner.
