Annick Young

Tom Nevakshonoff has been elected at the legislature and will be too busy to fulfill the role of Vice-President of Public Relations. We wish Tom good luck in his new endeavor.

We are very lucky to have Karen Botan join the executive officers. She will be a great asset to Seven Oaks toastmasters Club has Vice President of Public Relations. In my first article I mentioned that some members were eager to accomplish their goals. Karen Botan has achieved her CTM. designation. Congratulations from all of us Karen!

The goal is still 15 new members for this Toastmasters year. We have 3 already 12 more to go.

V.P. Membership Message
If Each One Brings One

Marie McCormick
V.P. Membership

Look around the room next time you're at a Toastmasters meeting. What do yousee? Friendly people. Smiling faces. CTM's. ATM's. People who have praised and affirmed you. People who have made you laugh. Wouldn't it be great to have more individuals like that in our club?

Our Big Seven Oaks Membership Draw is on December 13, 1999. Your name is entered in the draw when you bring a guest, and if that guest joins your name is entered three times! The prize is paid entry to the District 64 Toastmasters Leadership Institute on January 22, 2000 along with gifts from our members.

With our current Membership Drive, we are bringing new people into our club. It's all about making a personal invitation. Tell someone about our group and invite them to visit us. Better yet, bring them with you. Give them first-class treatment. Show them that we care about people in a personal and professional way.

Don’t worry about those who do not take advantage on your personal invitation, focus on those who say "Yes." Our target is to build our membership. If each member brings at least one guest, we'll undoubtedly reach our goal. Our club can grow if each one brings one. Go to it! We'll all be glad you did.
